Netbook berlayar 10,1 inci ini mengandung komponen yang tidak jauh berbeda dengan “saudara”-nya, Acer Aspire One D255, yang baru meluncur bulan lalu.
Otaknya masih Intel Atom N550 dual core (1MB L2 cache, 1.50 GHz). Daya tahannya diklaim kuat bertahan sampai delapan jam berkat baterai 6-cell. Urusan mengetik bisa dilakukan dengan nyaman karena keyboard-nya berukuran 93% dari standar. Kelengkapan lainnya berupa bluetooth, WiFi, dan webcam 1,3 MP.
Acer Aspire One Happy memiliki dua sistem operasi, yakni Windows 7 Starter dan Android InstantOn!. Keberadaan Android ditujukan bagi pengguna yang membutuhkan fast booting OS untuk langsung tersambung ke internet, seperti chatting, browsing, dan e-mail.
Menariknya, dalam seri Happy ini, terdapat juga nilai tambah berupa paket Microsoft Office Starter 2010 dan Windows Live Essentials. Office Starter 2010 berisi serangkaian fungsi produktivitas Microsoft Word dan Excel yang disederhanakan serta berlisensi seumur hidup. Sementara itu, Windows Live Essentials memuat beberapa aplikasi untuk berbagi foto dan dokumen secara online, termasuk peranti Photo Gallery dan Movie Maker
